Our premium and commission rates are among the most competitive in the country.

Buyers premium is only 10% (+vat). A minimum of £150 (+vat) is applied to amounts of £1,500 or less.

Yes we do. Viewing takes place from 3pm-7pm the day before the auction and from 9am-1pm on the day of the auction itself. 

Our auction start at 1pm. Entry to viewing and/or auction is by catalogue only. Catalogues are available on the day at £15 which admits two people to the sale. Additional people are charged at £5 per head.

All SOLD vehicles are subjected to a HPI Equifax Vehicle Data Check. This service provides information on vehicles listed as Stolen or on the Outstanding Finance Register. Any vehicle discovered to have an undisclosed history in relation to any of these areas will be liable to rejection by the buyer and will result in the seller becoming liable for Buyers Premium, Sellers Commission and all reasonable expenses incurred by the buyer and Barons (Auctioneers) Ltd.

A standard charge of £10(+vat) is levied for this service. If you wish to avoid this charge you will be required to sign a disclaimer absolving Barons (Auctioneers) Ltd of any liability should a vehicle prove to have such undisclosed history.

Seller FAQs

Sellers commission is 5% (+vat). A minimum of £150 (+vat) is applied to all sales of £3,000 and under.

You can consign a vehicle via this website - just click here. Please note that you will first be asked to created an account. Once created, you will then be able to upload details and photos of the vehicle you'd like to enter.

We cannot over-stress the importance of early consignment of vehicles. Many people are disappointed when their entry is not accepted due to over subscription. Early consignment gives us the opportunity to promote an entry and gives your car the best possible exposure. Help us to help you sell your car, get it on this site as early as possible, where it may be viewed by 1,000's of prospective buyers, as well as being included in our targeted marketing emails, and on to our database.

We have two levels of entry for vehicles: Standard at £100 (+vat) or Premier at £150 (+vat).

The Standard Entry offers a full listing on the Website Catalogue with description and up to 10 photographs, plus a full colour, single page listing in the printed catalogue with 2 photographs.

The Premier Entry offers a full listing on the Website Catalogue with description and up to 10 photographs, a full colour, double page listing in the printed catalogue with multiple photographs, a choice of lot numbers within specific blocks, and a prime position (where possible) in the auction room.

All levels attract the same, low commission rate of 5%.

We also Motorcycle, Number Plate and Automobilia entries as well as Trade Entry.

You will be given the option to upload photos via this website when you enter your vehicle for auction. We've made the process of entering your vehicle into auction as simple as possible, including uploading photos.

Alternatively, if you'd like to enter your vehicle but don't yet have any photos, you can always email the photos to us (info@barons-auctions.com) after you've entered it.

 

General FAQs

Our preferred method of payment is via Debit Card

We accept Visa and Mastercard Debit cards. Credit Cards are no longer accepted.

Other acceptable methods of payment are Bank Transfer or Cash. Cash is acceptable, but we are now obliged, by law, to declare any sums above £9,000 to the Customs, Excise and Revenue services.

All client funds are held in our "Secure Client Account" and paid to vendor's within 6 working days of the sale date. Auction on Tuesday - Payment made following Wednesday.

Please Note: Barons do not accept personal or business cheques in payment for vehicles or in payment of deposits on vehicles. In the event that a buyer is unable to complete a purchase on the day of the sale, they will be required to pay a deposit of 10% of the total purchase price by way of Debit Card, Cash or Bank Transfer. Vehicles will not be released until full payment is received by Barons.

Barons Do Not operate an account system. All vehicles must be paid for on the day of sale or by noon on the following day. If you intend to collect a vehicle on the following day, you must pay a minimum deposit of £500 or 10% of the total purchase price. Whichever is the greater.
